Tattoo Care

How to Care for your new Tattoo

Keep the tattoo covered by a dermal bandage (second skin) up to 5 days, it will keep your tattoo from getting any dirt/bacteria inside. It is water resistant and you can shower with it but i wold not recommend you to get a prolonged water contact. Built up beneath the bandage plasma and ink could make the tattoo look blurred, do not be scared and do not remove it as the plasma helps to boost the healing.
No worries if the second skin comes off before 5 days, follow aftercare instructions listed below:
01

After Second Skin Comes off

After you take that off, I highly suggest to do that under warm water peeling down slowly from an upper edge. Gently wash the tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap, let it dry for 15-30 min then apply a recommended tattoo ointment. This part of healing is very important because unmoisturized skin makes room for painful scabs to form, it will crack as you move and cause flacking which pulls the ink away as the scabs fall away.

02

Do NOT Scratch, Moisturize

DO NOT SCRATCH when it begins peeling off. Moisturize it by applying A THIN LAYER twice a day for two weeks. Excess moisture can clog your skin’s pores which prevents it from breathing which is important for the skin to heal.

03

No Tight Clothing

Wear loose or no clothing over the tattoo, which will reduce friction and rubbing, enabling the new skin layers to form and heal.

04

No Gym or Sweating

NO gym or sweating for at least 5 days after getting a tattoo.

05

No Swimming

NO swimming/sauna for 2 weeks.

06

No Sun Exposure

NO sun exposure for 2 weeks. After that ALWAYS use sunscreen on the tattoo, if you leave your ink out in the sun the UV rays are absorbed and eventually break up the pigment.
